Hey gang! It’s time for a check-in; how did you make out with your goals in November?
If you recall, I vowed to drink more water, get organized for the holidays and pick up some old hobbies last month. My goals went alright overall; my gift list has been written and a strategic plan is in place to hit the shops soon, and a few of my old hobbies are coming back into my life (which makes me very happy). I’d say I did best with the water goal…I’m not by any means drinking as much water as I would like to, but my daily intake is definitely increasing. I’d say I’m up to about 4-5 glasses consistently on a daily basis, which, hey, considering I was at less than 1 glass daily about 6 weeks ago, I’m not doing too bad. I even purchased a super cute S’well water bottle over the weekend to motivate me a bit (pretty sips are better, y’all )! YAY!
Okay, so what have I got up my {bell} sleeves for December? Let’s see…
Stick to a financial plan
I think we can all agree that it is extremely easy to get caught up in the fun of the season, whether it be doing simple, casual things like getting together with your pals over coffee or more costly events like going to a play or participating in a big gift exchange. I love the holidays and I’m in no way ready to start cutting corners on gift giving or things that bring me joy this time of year. However, let’s be real, I also do not want to start 2018 in a ton of debt… So, I have written a bit of a financial game plan and I’m going to try my hardest to stick to it. I intend to enjoy all aspects of the season, I just need to ensure that my hard earned dollars are being spent carefully and on the right things. That’s what budgets are for! Which brings me to goal #2…
Eat out less!
I’m pretty sure I’d be a rich woman if Starbucks and Thai Express weren’t around. I spend soooo much money monthly on eating out, buying lunch at work, and don’t even get me started on my Starbucks habit. This month, I’m going to make a serious effort to rein it in a little bit; nothing crazy, especially as it is almost Christmas and my friends usually make plans to go out for lunch or dinner. I’m just going to try to make small cuts where I can, you know, pack my lunch more often, bring my tea or coffee in from home, make healthy choices over quick meals out, etc. I think both my wallet and my waistline will thank me.

I could have gone out for breakfast…but instead, I made a healthy choice at home. 🙂 #healthybeginsathome
Reach 500 followers on Instagram
I truly love taking photos, whether I share them online or not. I’ve definitely gone through phases with my Instagram feed over the years, but right now I’m back on a schedule that feels right and makes me happy. I’ve missed how much fun it is to plan out my feed and style my little props for yet another flatlay. 🙂 This is a ridiculously shameless plug, but I have been working really hard and I would LOVE it if you could check out my feed (@itssiobhanchloe). I’m currently so tantalizingly close to 500 followers, and I can honestly that say that having 500 of you in my little family would make me so incredibly happy and proud. So, what are you waiting for!? I’ll meet you over there !
So, what about you, chickee?! What are some things you’re striving towards during this month of festive fun? Let me know below!
